Formed in 1965 in Fairfield, Alabama, U.S.A. as The Soul Controllers
After one single led by Cleveland Eaton they changed their name. They have released eight albums between 1977 - 1997. In 1976 they were signed to Juana Records and released their first three albums till the late 70's produced by the label owner Frederick Knight. In 1980 they were signed to MCA Records for three more albums (produced by Nick Johnson (2), Barry Eastmond, Galen Senogles and Ralph Benatar), before recording with Capitol Records in the late 90's (produced by Donnell Spencer, Sam Sims, Ollie Brown and Vassal Benford) and their final when they reunited for a self produced comeback in 1997 at Malaco Records. They have covered Stevie Wonder's "Love's In Need Of Love Today" (1978) and "Superstition" (1997) as well as Marvin Gaye's "Distant Lover" (1986).
