"Grind" and "Chill" are apt descriptions for these two sides. The Grind side is somewhere between 150 and 170 BPM and is definitely what I would call 'classic' techno - buzzing bass lines, vocal samples amongst sweeping phased synth arpeggios, relentless drums. The Chill side is more mellow, slower, and shows a lot of variation and atmosphere - "Unnoticed" in particular is very evocative. "I Need Eternity" is a contrast on that side - it's obviously beXta's first single and the rest of the tape has much better production; but even then it shows raw promise. From this tape, though, beXta's style has evolved to be more commercial, 'rave'y and moody. This, if you can find it, is good stuff.
