i've never been a fan of this label, mostly because of the ...way they do their "business", but also because their catalogue could start and.. end with the "Liumin" CD, and everybody would still feel "served", but wait - "sailingstars" - this is something else, you get all the standard ingredients of a generic post-Maurizio production, but it really stands out from the surrounding mediocrity, and works wonders when smuggled into a 4 am phase of a good mix ;)

Btw - the fried/rusty synth timbre reminds me of Various Artists track 1 on CR 02, must be the same keyboard/filter as i dont remember hearing anything like this anywhere else for the last 20 years. (if you know which sample i mean)

cv313 ‎– 'Sailingstars' dominates!

It is the best release by cv313. It brings everything you hope for in their sound together for a perfect EP.
Sonically, technically, and even spatially, this release completes the circle it sounds off on.

From the moment you drop the needle on the crackling colored vinyl, you know you are in for a North American Treat.

It is great to experience these songs on a Hi-Fi Analogue stereo system. The warmth of a fine tube amp really brings the playback home, and home is were the heart is.

Thank you CV313, you two artists are epic!

Surprised no one has mentioned the twighlight dub. It's fun for the whole family. Bouncing along a good trip into percussion and funkiness. Smiling ear to ear. Great stuff. Bubble gum color vinyl?? Fun indeed. Reminds of my favorite record on Mojuba.
