The Bring Down The Walls album is a benefit compilation featuring covers of the most enduring house classics, each produced as a collaboration between formerly incarcerated vocalists and electronic musicians.
The album is one aspect of a three-part public art project staged in May 2018 by artist Phil Collins, Creative Time, The Fortune Society, and over 100 collaborations, which turned an unconventional lens on the prison industrial complex through house music and nightlife.
All tracks mixed by Abe Seiferth at Transmitter Park Studio, New York City, except “Bring Down The Walls (2.0 Rework)” mixed by Larry Heard, and “You’re Gonna Miss Me” mixed by Alexander Cowan at Studio Toute Garni, Montreal QC.
