The biggest JA music distritributor / label begun in 1968 by Vincent "Randy" Chin who also created VP Records in New York and Florida. Randy's Studio was Studio 17. "Studio 17" is sometimes etched in runout area of records mastered there. Studio 17 was upstairs accessed by an iron gate that opened onto Parade, the store was at ground level then there was a location on site for producing the stampers that you reached from going downstairs from the studio. One can also find the initials of Vincent Chin etched on some of these recordings.
Randy's Recording Studio & record manufacturing were parts of the same concern; records mastered and pressed by Randy's can be identified by the prefix "R.R.S." or "RRS" etched in the runout area.
