The main focus of Champagne was jazz funk, soul, disco, and high energy. As can be seen looking through the label catalogue, all but a few tracks were available on other labels. Those that were the notable exceptions are the T.W. Funk Masters "Love Money" heavily remixed version for the Re-Mixture compilation, and from the Pre-Mixture comp' the tracks by Avonn, Above and Beyond, The Inversions, and Potion.
Another divsion of Champagne existed, this being "E.D.M Champagne" which targeted interesting alternative synth pop/futurist acts. Assumably the initials may have been a reference to it's material, Electronic Dance Music ?
Both labels were distributed by CBS.
