This record label have to be the WORST company going, if you want to reissue your album - that's if they do it with your permission! 99% of all their output is ripped from vinyl, as it's much cheaper than accessing the original master tapes. This isn't printed on their releases however, so the buyer has no idea that it's probably gonna sound terrible. Instead, they advertise it as being 'expertly remastered'. Their CD's are ALWAYS compressed and brick-walled, with over the top vinyl de-clicking and de-noising. Once you've heard one song, your ears are ringing. Their new vinyl output is even worse - it's vinyl on vinyl! Their engineer told me they use a 1-1 method from an original copy - so the original noise and inner-groove distortion is doubled, creating extra clicks, hum and more. This, I can understand in situations where the masters are not available, but most of the time, they are! The artwork for their vinyl releases are also scanned from an original LP pressing, with hardly any attempt to clear up the original image, resulting in poor, blurry and over-saturated cover art. I have experienced this with at least 10 releases from Repertoire Records, so please don't assume this as trolling or spam. In a period of booming audio sales, how this company is still cheating people is beyond me. Never again will I waste money on another Repertoire Records release. And for anyone who is interested, before Discogs removed the counter, nearly 50 people found this post 'helpful'.

Recently contacted Repertoire via email to ask where they have their vinyl albums pressed, their director advised that they use Pallas Germany although there are a few exceptions.....
