- I bought this version after listening to the 12 inch version as I wanted to see what was removed. Only the A side was affected and it sounds okay if you are not used to the 12 inch version, otherwise quite a bit will strike you as missing. Despite the B side being longer than the 12 inch A side, it is all intact here. I still like both versions but prefer the extended version, simply because there is more of it. It's a shame they don't reissue the release on a 3 track CD single with both versions of the A side along with the B side.

I was in a Cash Converters shop with my mum (probably about 12 years after the release date, when I was about 13) and I saw this record but there was no mention anywhere of the price so my mum took it to ask. She came back saying "This record is a pound, do you really think it's worth it?", I said yes and we got it. To be honest I'm very glad we did as it may not be the funnest thing I have heard, it is very entertaining. A nice little treat for The Young Ones two years after the show ended permanently. Alexi Sayle refused to participate however this is not really noticeable. It is a very interesting way to enjoy the characters in an audio only format, which had not been done before. It's a shame they didn't do a radio series of the show. I'm sure that would have been a very good job as they used the lack of visual material to very good effect and it wasn't very rude, like the TV show. Problem is a lot of people would dismiss it, just because it is radio material.
The song itself was okay however I much prefer the dialogue more, which appears before and after the song on the A side and mostly on the B side. Suffice to say I prefer the B side, however it is all good stuff all the same as I'm sure anyone who listens to this will agree.
