This is one of (if not) the greatest LP of all time. Soul at it's very finest, with grit, blues and psych influences, and emotion in male vocals like you've never heard.
As for this re-issue, the pressing quality is excellent and features all the extra singles/45 releases that you don't get on the original so I wouldn't sleep if you can get a copy!

My copy sounds kinda rough in a burbly way - like the various bits of coloured vinyl aren't all quite melted when they pressed this sucker. This whole coloured vinyl business is nonsense - I would much prefer straight black for very nearly everything. Anyway, good thing this is gut-bucket soul of the highest order, or I would be bummed out playing this.

Shame "I Can't Take No Chances" isn't included on most of these presses.
Why it's right "unofficial" ?
i buy it today on my vinylshop, and i can see they have the same on hhv?
sounds and Cover are very great.
Mines got a little “noisy spot” on B4, otherwise this copy would have sounded marvelous. Seems like a pressing defect.- There's no reason for this reissue not to be merged with the album's main entry.
- My copy has cracks/pops on the first seconds of "Would You..." and is warped. Don't know if this occurs on other copies...
- Fantastic music, but my pressing was horribly off-centre on Side B. Shop didn't have a replacement, so I had to carve out the spindle hole to fix. Now plays beautifully.

My copy sounds great and is a beautiful shade of custard yellow. Every time I see it going around on the turntable it makes me want to eat custard, but I'm not allowed to eat that as my mam is severely lactose intolerant so custard is forbidden in our house in case she accidentally eats some and gets diarrhoea again!!
