It's non rythmic. it's a bit heavy on the high end for my preferences, it's electronic neo classical sound collage, or freeform synth experimentation, so no grooves and musician partitions... it has a kind of random chatter and hum quality on it. it's unnerving for me as if to pick up my attention, without placing my attention onto some kind of exciting sounds. The synth pads are not new or amazing to me, nor are the samples chosen. It's difficult to rate a electronic neo classical freeform audio collage, i prefer if i can be entranced by some kind of atonal or frequency based patterns, there arent clear discernable patterns here, I'll have to listen to it some more, but at first view it really qualifies as something i would find unpleasant to play loud more than 5-10 minutes, it's interesting in that time if i can turn the treble down. Mostly it hasn't got epic bass and sub-bass synth or acoustic and otherworldly samples of a powerful and original kind. I'll check it some more because of the reviews, but i don't like it.

This music requires attention and multiple listens. It is complex and infectious masterfully crafted experimental electronic music. If you are not familiar with the world of Shackleton, it may take a bit of getting used to. The music is bizarre and unnerving and defies categorization. The cover art and the music have an infectious, uncanny similarity. That said, there are some of the most bad ass grooves you've ever heard. Track 5 Test Tubes is epic. You haven't really heard this music until you've listed through good headphones or on a full range stereo system. Highly recommended to those with more evolved tastes for electronic music.

I first heard this through earphones working late on my own in a large open-plan office, an experience I will never forget.
Can't name too many other albums that left such an indelible mark on first listen.
          Incredible.

This is absolutely magnificent. Put it on in the background, relax, and let it take you on the journey. Whereas Fabric 55 was the culmination of Shackleton's work on the dancefloor, this album represents an evolution in his music beyond the bass-heavy rhythms of his prior work. The production quality is well beyond anything released by his dubstep/techno contemporaries and it's an almost certain classic.

Quantum leap for Shackleton. After an astounding row of great releases, this is probably his most focused and compelling to date. Sixty minutes which should be listened to carefully and continuously, as they're designed to provide a full, inmersive experience. We're not talking about music anymore, this is far beyond that point. A truly work of art. And the beats are sick as f***.

An astounding album. Musicality, tension, bass weight, production skill all combine to brilliant effect here. A mature and accomplished album; I can't wait to hear these tracks out, LOUD!
