The Exaltics – Some Other Place Vol. 2

A2 may be amongst my favorite electro tunes of all time. With the infectious pads, synth stabs and slick percussion, it really does take you to "some other place." A nice place, I think. It also has a 4/4 kick, so you can easily throw it into a techno set. Very well-crafted modern electro.

Very solid electro 12". All four songs are winners. A side starts with the title and series track 'some other place'. This apocalyptic track has probably the most catchy melody of the release. 'Waves of fear' sounds like Gerald Hanson's Arpanet releases so definitely a winner there. B side gets even a bit more hypnotic with 'the way out'. Kind of would like these tracks to be a bit longer and draw the rawness out a bit more. Serious business going on. 'Different ways' closes out the record with the most moody of them.
