- Alien Lanes is one of my all time favorites songs by anyone.
This is an underrated ep in the gbv catalog. The tracks alien lanes and bee thousand get unfairly bashed by critics and some casual fans. They are dead wrong! Alien lanes has a great post punk/siren like guitar line squiggling through with a wicked solo at the end. Brilliant. Bee thousand is hook filled and childlike with fuzzy/crunchy verses. Another creative track. Let’s not forget shocker, a top 10 all time track and The Who like break even.
