- Vor einem Monat bearbeitetI really wanted to write a terrific review for this album being that it is a "Reunion" album for "The Temptations"....
That's right, after years of not being together with members "David Ruffin" and "Eddie Kendricks", it was a nice gesture...But let's be real about it, "Reunion" should have been a much stronger offering...
To me, the only song worth mentioning on here is the absolute standout and Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate Crown Jewel, "Standing On The Top", produced and featuring the one and only "Rick James"....This song was obviously recorded around the time that the group were hanging around "Rick" when he was recording his best album ever in "Street Songs", with them being featured on the classic "Super Freak", and "Melvin" on "Give It To Me Baby" and "Ghetto Life"....It's even in a 9 minute splendor, with pure "Punk Funk" just dripping all over the song!!!!!!
And to me that is where this album fails!!!!!
Seriously, none of the other songs on this album even comes close to supporting that monster of a jam!!!! And if you really think about it, "Rick James" should have produced the whole album.....Yes, I could envision that!!!!! Also with the "Reunion", as the story has been told, it was very short lived, and a pure disaster!!!
I still own the record though because...Well...It's the "Temptations"!!!!!!! 
This is a nice album only no lyric sleeve was available unlike their previous albums (Bare Back, Power and The Temptations 1981 album). If someone would post a sharper pic of the lyrics from the Japanese Import, that’d be great!
