A under recognised classic! A album and artist whose music can rewire your brain into a new thought state with each release, including this gem from 1995. A interesting forward thinking take on Ambient-IDM-Techno that's rooted in classic 90's deeper side of AI IDM-Techno, added with its own characteristic experimental-abstract edge. Both Detroit an UK IDM/Techno influences can be felt on the album, creating a very unique mood atmosphere and flow throughout the album that's both beautiful and abstract at the same time. A great album for the mind that for me sits alongside some of the very best of 90's-00 AI electronica, yet still remains an immersive excellent listen today in 2019(+)...Get it while you can!
One of the oddest albums released during the 'ambient techno' reign in the mid-90's. When i first heard it i didn't 'get' it; but it stayed with me. Jazzy blocks of sound are moved around an off-kilter beat, and what appear to be shifts in the time signatures- very prog rock! Actually much more rewarding than the jackhammer techno emanating from Europe at the time, it's inspiration rests more in the Detroit Techno, with it's sleek lines, and impressive frigidity. It has aged well, too.
Although this artist's music is oftenly defined as UK techno I would like to point out that this album is very Detroitesk! Excellent sound & beats, dancy & chilly, all very refined! My favorite B.A. cd. Great job!
