Vor einem Jahr bearbeitetJust snagged one of these freshly traded-in to the local store on the cheap. Excellent condition so I bit the bullet. Happy to report there are no sibilance issues aside from the last track on side A; probably an inner groove issue. It's not super pronounced. The rest of it is problem free however and sounds fantastic. Nice pressing too.
i hate the packaging on this lp. The corners of the x always snag on other Albums- Buy vynil new from Amazon, the B side has some scratches and is noisy, the track B1 is distorted and jump in one point. Bad press!
- Amazing audio quality on this release. Nice bass on "Fantasy" on side 2. Strong inner groove distortion only on track A6 "Hot like fire". All other tracks, including B6 are playing fine.
My copy sounds great too...no problem...great album and great band- Great album but quality of the sound is bit disappointing, not only mentioned S problem...
As others have mentioned, this LP contains really strong problems with disorted S. Some tracks(Hot Like Fire) are totally unplayable! Do NOT buy!
Only just realised that the Jamie xx covers are a quarter of the X
I have to play this record with a really strong weight on the cartridge (shure m97xe on technics mk2) otherwise it's all distorted. I bought it mint at Virgin some years ago.
Anyone else as this problem ?
Does anybody else experience terrible sililance on this LP? Especially on the song Hot Like Fire on side A?
