All of the "Electrocity" series compilations were compiled by Ecki Stieg, a famous figure in the German electro/industrial/darkwave scene. He hosted a radio program ("Grenzwellen") in the early 90s which featured many up-and-coming new artists, including most of the ones on these compilations. These compilations, although perhaps redundant to anyone with a large CD collection, nonetheless offer an excellent sampling of the genre, as well as the occasional out-of-print or previously vinyl-only gem.
