Very strange. Do not let the cover fool you, this is the pope.

Probably the weirdest Krautrock-record ever released! At least one of the most peculiar I've ever stumbled over! Especially when you listen to the queer and quirky sounds from the album and then consider its strange origin and cover! The latter shows an advertisement photograph from a cognac-selling company and suggests a cheap - conventional! - dance amusement!

The original vinyl was released by a record company which regularly only sold cheesy budget records of no specific artistic value. It completely hit me by surprise when I listened to it for the first time a couple of years ago after I'd grabbed it for peanuts from a flea market box. I was into Incredible Strange Music then but never would have expected HOW strange this unexpected find turned out to be!

I'm convinced that the bunch of weirdos who recorded this album only got it released because they put the responsible person from the record company under drugs - or maybe cognac? - and subsequently made that guy believe that the odd noises they created were all the rage of their time! Which they were, in a way, but surely not in a commercial sense! I wonder how many buyers of the original record immediately threw it into the next dustbin or at the head of the seller after listening to its first minutes, haha!

Connatural to stuff like Annexus Quam ("Osmose"), the Red Crayola, the Godz or early Residents - but actually a unique record in its very own way!
