Sounds pretty good, and the packaging is nice, though my side one is labeled as a Metallica record! Was wondering if when they started playing Enter Sandman.
This pressing is great - it sounds rich and full. It’s not nearly as detailed as Mocambo but this band doesn’t have Billy Preston and the era is digital. But for Live Licks this satisfies the taste buds.
I first got this on BluRay. Great performance. Keith in the right channel and Ronnie in the left. Killer version of Monkey Man, IORR, Angie. Don't stop is great. Keith's performance of "Thru and Thru is great as well.
And now I've bought the white vinyl for a killer price.
I know 2003 is not considered prime Stones, but it a solid performance by the boys and "I could use a lemon squeezer!! Yeah!!
First impressions on the vinyl, cut real low so you really need to crank the amp to get some liveliness. Not bad though at the proper volume. Great performance though and nice quiet white vinyl.
Have several live Stones shows that are much more dynamic than this one. Great song lineup, but mix is a bit uninspired and dull. Great artwork and pictures. Agree with @Wignbold that this one is missing a good bass. Unless you are a Stones collector or like historical shows like this one, I would recommend The Rolling Stones - El Mocambo 1977, which is much better.
Great NYC concert of January 18 2003 on nice white vinyl. Also nice artwork on the inside of the tri-fold cover and on the innersleeves. But you need to put the bass higher, to get the sound well.
