Rezensionen
- I was waiting to see how long it would take before someone posted on this release - which is definitely Emerson's best release since his Just Be Good rmx on Bash. Personally this record hasn't stopped growing on me. One minute Derrty is my favourite, next minute either Body Work or Dopemaster. Personally this is the best techno full-length release in the last 6 months! ... and now I'm pissed because I didn't get a CD.
- This second full-length from Berlin based DJ Emerson takes things in a decidedly more diverse and expansive direction. Sure there are still plenty of examples of the funky Techno sound that DJ Emerson is known for (“Derrty”, “Jack The Hustler” and “Dopemaster”), but it is when he spreads his wings, that this disc shines brightest. From the hypnotic, Lauryn Hill sampled “Body Work” and stunning “On Fire”, to bonus remixes from J. Breaker, Leandro Gamez and Lyric Johnson; this is an outstanding creation that shows just how far Simon (aka Emerson) has come as a musician and producer. A second CD (featuring DJ Emerson in the mix) is thrown in for free to complete the package and make this an essential purchase for Techno fans everywhere.
