Technically the record plays clean and great, but I am giving the 2 stars for the album itself. The tunes all sound VERY dated, talking about issues we have known to DEATH, and I keep getting reminded of styles from other bands. What happened… the first muse album I didn’t click with ALL of the songs.. really bizarre..sad even.
I’d say I have same opinion: good pressing, but not the best Muse album, not even close… however it is not bad… Has some strong and good songs! For 24€ it is a good one to have
Got my copy via Amazon UK. Certainly didn't have to pay 30 quid for it!. Only disappointed that a download card wasn't with it, but I think this is a very good album. Short (under 38 mins), but there's definitely more 'killa' then 'filla'. Very good pressing, and absolutely minimal surface noise
Super flat and quiet, and the sound is dynamic and full. Not my favorite Muse album, but it sure sounds awesome.
Was debating whether to get the red or the Cream version, and the red was about $2AUD cheaper. The matrix were the same on both.
Put through a 10 minute wash, then a 15 minute autocycle on the HuminGuru before being played on a Pro-ject DC Evo with Ortofon 2M Blue, through the MM phono stage of the Cambridge Audio Evo 150, to my ears though a pair of Klipsch Heresy IV.
Vor einem Jahr bearbeitetIt might not be Muse’s best album, but they played a few tracks off it when I saw them live earlier this year so I was looking forward to it - and I have to say I really like it. I’ve heard a couple of folks complaining about this pressing, but to my ears this sounds pretty darn good and while it’s maybe not the most detailed sounding record, there’s certainly plenty of slam on offer. The vinyl is nice and quiet and I gave it a thorough clean as normal, and zero pops/clicks etc.
Good sound nice press, but I’ll expect to receive a better sleeve
