Karen Carpenter – I'll Be Yours

An Ebay seller claims Magic Lamp 705 has Karen Carpenter accompanying the solo artist. She must be the drummer - there is no trace of her distinctive voice on any of the vocal parts. Is this just a rumor to promote the sale of Magic Lamp 705?

I purchased a copy of Magic Lamp label 45 rpm record approximately 26 years ago from someone in Los Angeles. The record is in mint condition. Around the same time I purchased a Carpenters 45 RPM record from a record collector in Mexico, it is the Carpenters "Sing" which Karen sings in Spanish. "Sing" is not as rare as the Magic Lamp label single, but I still feel very fortunate to have two rare items in my Carpenters collection.

I have never actually SEEN a copy of the record and would really like to.

The rarest 7" vinyl for Karen Carpenter, the Magic Lamp label was on a budget and could only sign Karen Carpenter on the label. Even though Richard Carpenter is still playing piano, Karen is listed as a solo artist. They signed as "The Carpenters" with A&M Records in 1968
