Reviews
I wish every track on this album were as creative and interesting as Slim Boyd's daring interpretation of "Kaw-Liga." He takes Hank's Native American theme and pushes it to its extreme, and it sounds awesome. Then he turns around and gives us such lackluster cuts as his downright boring "Hey, Good Lookin,'" with absolutely no emotion, delivering even the title phrase staccato. The songs selected are excellent, but this record could have used better direction, overall.
