Reviews
- Edited one year agoOne of the legendary releases of the Noom Records label. It was always an outstanding moment to hear that tune live in the club.
- Oh lord, the idiot brigade is back to underrate classic acid-trance-techno fusions from the mid 90s. This isn't quite as good as Mandala - High Noom or Nexus 6 - Tres Chic, but it's still vintage Noom. The only complaint would be the siren on "Acido." It's quite repetitive and eventually annoying but that's fixed on "Tranceido" where it's lower in the mix and not repeated as often. "Spaceido" is borderline masterpiece, and this EP is a good introduction to DJ Tandu.
- A-Acido and Tranceido are a real disappointment!
Spaceido is the only listenable track where you can hear the hand of tandù! - Edited 11 years agoMore or less agree with the other reviewer here. This is indeed a forgettable release from Noom, and for a name like Acido, the title track seems to be lacking in the amount (and quality) of acid/303 production. And I find the uninteresting, not-all-that-rhythmic horn/siren rather tedious, in fact.
Granted, all three tracks are OK, but nothing more than that. So, while I own most of the Noom catalog, I'm not much interested in picking up this release. - Edited 12 years agoOne of the more forgettable releases from Noom and for good reason: None of the tracks stand out. "Acido" has some Italian sample in the intro and the rest is your go-lucky acid trance rave track with some sirens. A decent rave track if you ask me. "Spaceido" is the only track I liked, nice ambient pad with some tribal percussion. the acid part ruins the track at times, but better than the other two cuts. "Tranceido" despite the somewhat unique name (Cough no, Trance+ido from Acido) is a boring track, the intro is just some uninspiring trance pads and later you notice it is a mix of "Acido" due to the acid sirens. I would only buy this for side B1 and only if it's dirt cheap (It's one of the cheapest releases in the entire label.) Only serious Noom fans would consider this. This would had been decent in the 80's. Stands as one of the weakest releases in the Noom label.
