    My copy arrived from Amazon (back in 2014?) in pristine condition. I had bought the BiS version in 2012, and THAT one had LOADS of issues, but Amazon graciously accepted returns for those (at least the individual lps that were questionable). This one I only had one rather taxing problem with--Help was dish warped (played convex on one side, concave on the other!) But a couple of years later I bought an individual copy of Help from an eBay seller who was selling the box piecemeal. That copy was flat and flawless in every way. I've archived mine, and will likely have it buried with me someday.

      You can quite enjoy playing this set with a stereo cartridge ( mm or mc , doesn't matter ).
      Why ? You can play mono Lp's with a stereo cartride , but NOT stereo Lp's with a mono cartridge ,
      because of groove size .
      Yes , mono cartridge would be ideal , and if you want it really badly - go then for Ortofon onr ,specially designed
      for this vinyl box set & affordable !

              Please reissue more sets. That’s all I can say. This shouldn’t be as hard to acquire as it is currently. It’s disappointing for myself and others around me who cannot afford to buy a 2nd hand set. I was in 8th grade and couldn’t even go to the store to purchase one when they were $400. I kick myself in the butt at 20 years old.

                  Serious question, how the hell is this so expensive? You can buy all the individual albums for a fraction of the price, either newer pressings or even 60’s originals, Beatles albums aren’t exactly rare!

                      As someone who owns all of the records (bought them individually) ... they are great. However, I hardly listen to them. If I want to listen to Revolver in mono, for example, I choose the Japanese red vinyl pressing. Same with A Hard Day's Night. So, it's great to have. But there are other options if you'd rather go the individual pressing route and save yourself $1000.
