Rezensionen
- Cut to lacquer by Bernie and pressed by my favorite Europe-based plant, Record Industry in Holland. No wonder this sounds so incredibly good. If it was cut from DSD, it sounds as though it was cut from tape to my ears. Top production. Highly recommend.
- I bought my copy today it was in the original shrink and after opening it I discovered that the record with side A/B is missing and instead of it there is a copy of Eagles live New York 1994 inside....... wasn't a false label it was really the Eagles record.... I'll go and return this tomorrow at my record store.
- Very nice pressing of a very interesting record. There are sounds here you just won’t hear elsewhere and this pressing does a good job of displaying it.
- Vor 2 Jahren bearbeitetDoes anyone know definitively what year the 2x180g vinyl reissue was released?
https://www.discogs.com/release/23181095-Ali-Farka-Tour%C3%A9-With-Ry-Cooder-Talking-Timbuktu - one of the best records in my collection, flawless... but they could have done better than the damn paper sleeves
- Vor 3 Jahren bearbeitetMusic, recording, mixing, pressing are astounding and flawless. A remarkable achievement by Cooder, Touré, and Grundman. One of the best records in my collection. BUT...
Paper sleeves, World Circuit?! What are you guys doing sliding these masterpieces into such abrasive paper? Why would you drop the ball in the last yard like that? - I have been listening to this album since its release in '94. It is a timeless classic. My previous copies have been on CD and I have listened the album for hundreds, if not thousands, of hours. I had no idea how much musicality was missing from the CD! This LP was remastered from the analog tapes and there is so much more detail and nuance that it was like listening to it for the first time. At one point I heard someone inhale during one of the tracks, something I never heard on the CD. The entirety of the album, even with a modest system, sounds like it is being performed right there in the room. It is difficult to find fault with the pressing. As beercanchicken said, it would be better if it were gate-fold for the two LPs. It is a small gripe considering how overwhelmingly impressive this pressing is.
- Album was spectacular and is still spectacular. Sounds amazing. My only gripe would be that it's not gate-fold, a particular peeve of mine if there are 2 LPs
