I'd like to join the chorus of voices saying how a second wash does indeed 'lift' away practically all of the crackling and pops that were present on first play. Apart from the first fifteen seconds or so, Signs Of Life is clean enough from thereon for me to sit back, relax and enjoy. The next quiet bit, the sinister change from Learning To Fly to Dogs Of War is now completely pop free!! As is the quiet segue from Dogs Of War to One Slip...nothing!! Gotta WASH this one, folks!

I absolutely soaked it in isopropyl alcohol and distilled water on the second wash. So with effort, it does indeed improve. Mind you, how come WE'RE having to do this? It should leave the factory CLEAN....like they used to back in the 70s and 80s!

The worst press of 2016 reissues. Mine was dirty with crack and pop.

pops & clicks all over even after cleaning ultrasonically, a missed chance

The sound is wide and very good overall - the gentle remaster.
Vinyl had some clicks out of the sleeve, a few washings after it’s almost silent.

My copy nice and quiet, no issues unlike those outlined by others. Only thing I noticed was that the vinyl was a tad dirty, but easily sorted.

My copy doesn't has too much noise, neither pops, lucky me. I would recommend to store the vinyls in a plastic polylined inner sleeve, the thick inner sleeves all the PF records have are awesome but they do damage the LP in the long run.

Excellent pressing, beautiful sound, great dynamics. Grudman's team is making a great job with these remasters.

I got my copy today and it's almost flawless. The only thing is the vinyl is not entirely quiet and some background noise is audible. Other than that great listening and a great piece of music too.

The version I received has quite a few pops (mostly on side A) and even skips on The Dogs of War, anyone else having this problem? Returned my copy and getting a new one.
