Top 25 Best-Selling Records on Discogs in February 2024
The Best-Selling Records of February 2024, featuring releases from Tracy Chapman, USA For Africa, Mazzy Star, and Massive Attack.
The best-selling records on Discogs in February 2024 include popular releases from the 1980s, Record Store Day titles, and recent reissues.
The best-selling list often includes a few records that were released in the 1980s, but the decade absolutely dominated in February 2024. Thanks to the buzz surrounding Netflix’s The Greatest Night in Pop, USA For Africa’s We Are The World appears on this particular best-selling list five times. Three pressings of the complete album and two 12” singles all claimed spots in the top 25. Tracy Chapman’s self-titled 1988 debut secured three spots of its own, following Chapman’s recent performance of “Fast Car” with Luke Combs at the 2024 Grammy Awards. ‘80s pressings of classic Sade and Michael Jackson albums also topped this month’s list of best-selling records.
Record Store Day titles from Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo continue to be best-sellers on Discogs. Swift’s Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions was released in April 2023 and has been a top-seller ever since. Rodrigo’s Guts: The Secret Tracks has also been a fixture of the list since its release for RSD Black Friday in November 2023. The immense popularity of both artists means that they are very likely to remain on the list until even more desirable RSD titles come along.
Recent reissues of classic albums from Mazzy Star and Fleetwood Mac were also among the best-selling records of February 2024. An RSD Essential pressing of Mazzy Star’s So Tonight That I Might See and a Vinyl Me, Please Club Edition of Fleetwood Mac’s self-titled album inspired more than a few fans to pick up the latest versions of these iconic albums.
Other notable releases on the list include two versions of the Smile’s Wall Of Eyes, a 2017 pressing of Portishead’s Dummy, and the debut album from the Last Dinner Party.
