Top 25 Best-Selling Records on Discogs in June 2023

The best-selling records on Discogs in June 2023 include deluxe reissues, new albums, ’80s classics, and a few Record Store Day releases. 

Two Smashing Pumpkins reissues made the top 25, including a four-LP box set version of Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness. The 10th anniversary edition of Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories, the 2022 reissue of Frank Ocean’s Blonde, and the green-and-pink vinyl version of MF Doom’s MM..Food also achieved best-selling status in June. Two recent Tatsuro Yamashita reissues popped up as older copies of Yamashita’s For You have ended up on previous best-selling lists. 

The latest albums from Queens Of The Stone Age and Janelle Monáe ended up in quite a few collections. A glow-in-the-dark pressing of Queens Of The Stone Age’s In Times New Roman… and the “orange crush” version of Janelle Monae’s The Age Of Pleasure both made the cut. Monáe fans are especially eager to collect this particular variant as the gatefold sleeve features explicit art that’s exclusive to this US pressing. 

Like many best-selling lists of the past, a couple ’80s albums stand out amongst the many new albums and recent reissues fans are picking up in large numbers. Tracy Chapman’s self-titled album and Michael Jackson’s Thriller once again appear on the list as collectors search for the vinyl pressings of these classics that are most readily available and affordable. 

Even though Record Store Day was held in April, the June 2023 best-selling list shows that fans are still eager to track down some recent RSD releases. Taylor Swift’s Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, Eric Carr’s Rockology, and Larry Lovestein & The Velvet Revival’s You continue to be popular on Discogs.
