The best-selling records of October 2023 include multiple pressings of The Rolling Stones’ latest release, modern pop albums, and a few selections that pair well with the Halloween season.
The Rolling Stones recently released Hackney Diamonds, their 24th British and 26th American studio album. The new record has been topping the charts and fans snatched up multiple versions on Discogs throughout October. A zoetrope picture disc and a limited-edition clear diamond pressing are just two of the six versions that claimed spots in the top 25.
Records from Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift continue to be best-sellers as fans pick up recent releases and reissues of their most celebrated albums. A recent pressing of Del Rey’s Ultraviolence and a 2017 pressing of Swift’s Reputation provide further proof that passionate fans are eager to complete their modern pop collections.
The soundtrack for Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and AFI’s Sing The Sorrow also secured spaces in the top 25 as both spine-tingling records were reissued just in time for Halloween. With the former bridging the gap between multiple holidays, Danny Elfman’s iconic score may continue to be a best-seller through the end of the year.
