Top 25 Most Expensive Items Sold on Discogs in September 2023

The September 2023 most expensive list features limited-edition box sets, rare psychedelic rock records, and three deadstock copies of a landmark krautrock LP.
In September 2023, serious collectors picked up limited-edition box sets from Ryuichi Sakamoto, Pearl Jam, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd. The Sakamoto set is especially rare as the pressing was limited to 300 copies.
Collectors also tracked down some elusive psychedelic rock records from the 1960s and ’70s. Records by Hunger, D.R. Hooker, and The Purple Sun were among the many psych artists that topped last month’s most expensive list.
The list also includes three different copies of Twenty Sixty Six And Then’s Reflections On The Future. All three entries claimed by this obscure, German prog rock record are original pressings and were all sold for the same price by the same seller. Based on the listing notes, the seller had multiple deadstock copies that appeared to be unplayed.
