Twilight Zone / Wrathchild

Iron Maiden

1981

This rare version of the Iron Maiden 7″ Twilight Zone / Wrathchild is one of the few versions that was released on brown vinyl. Originally intended to be either black, red, or clear, a coloring mix-up at the pressing plant caused a brown variant to surface. According to diehard fans, only a handful of this variant are known to exist. This version went for the extremely metal price of $6,666.

Lee “Scratch” Perry

1973

This mysterious record from the prolific dub producer Lee “Scratch” Perry sold for $5,434 in July. The album features four instrumental tracks, “Cocaine,” “Cocaine Version,” “Everything I Own,” and “Musical Lady.” The record is likely a test pressing of a promo, given its Emidisc label.
