The most expensive items sold on Discogs in December 2022 include hard-to-find hip-hop records, jazz classics, and a few self-released punk 7-inches.
Out of the 25 releases highlighted here, WestsideGunn records appear three times. Two solo WestsideGunn LPs and a collaboration with The Purist all fetched big bucks and established December 2022 as a memorable month for collectible hip hop.
Jazz releases are scattered throughout the list and a rare record from The Sun Ra Arkestra secured the top spot. Releases from Hank Mobley and Lee Morgan, Kenny Dorham, and Kenny Burrell all claimed additional slots for jazz in December.
