Nightclubbing sees Grace Jones perfecting her post-punk, post-disco, reggae-infused pop. In addition to Grace herself, the album featured other luminaries such as Sly Dunbar, Robbie Shakespeare, and Wally Badarou. It was recorded together with two other Grace Jones albums by the same musicians at Compass Point Studios in the Bahamas (where producer Chris Blackwell recorded most of the Island Records). This album feels like a continuous mix. You can listen to it from beginning to end, and then easily all over again. A timeless masterpiece.
