Nothing is Real might be the best thing they've ever created. In fact, some of their very best moments happen on this record. It's dark, dusty, disjointed, and dystopian. Grab a pair of headphones and prepare to be immersed.

Like others, this is definitely up there for me in terms of BOC releases. Amazing how this can be the best background music but still makes for a good active listen

Not my favorite BOC record, but this has unbelievable sound! It was listed among "The Best Vinyl LPs to Really Show Off Your Turntable" in this article: https://gearpatrol.com/2019/05/14/best-vinyl-to-play-on-turntable/ so I had to give the vinyl a shot, and it does not disappoint. "It’s rare that a modern synth record will translate onto vinyl as well as this set of retro-electroica from the analog-obsessed Boards of Canada. Every swishy filter sweep, grinding bass tone, and live drum beat is rendered with sculptural realism. You’ll find yourself sitting up straight in the sweet spot and admiring your rig’s bass response and mid-range articulation as these moody, dystopian tracks chronicle our fast-changing world."

This is a really nice album. It hasn't fatigued at all over the years when it comes up on my playlist. Well done fellas.

Listened a few times now waiting for something to happen...which hasn't. I respond viscerally to works of art, if I don't get the feeling I usually don't, I feel this is a lazy dull record, minimal and dark? yes, interesting.no. Got it on vinyl and it sounds very bright and harsh, had to mess with controls which didn't help. Got to the end of side three and did not have the motivation to put on side 4, poorly produced also.
Maybe I need to go back on the drugs cos right now, in my world its a shit record. Anyway I'm happy cos I just sold a Val Doonican single on Cogs for £8.99...whadaya know!!!!

This album really grows on me with every listen, and I must have listened to this a lot more than most albums in the last decade. I think a lot of people who don't get it should give it another spin. It's got a different vibe to some of their earlier albums, maybe darker in some respects but not despairing by any means. This rewards patience.

My favorite album of theirs and my favorite album of all time.

Dark distopian soundtrack for the inner ear cinema. Seriously nice music not really dance oriented more minimalist minor keyed soundscapes, arpeggios, accented drum beats and nice warbly analog synths thrown in for good measure. I for one love music that isnt over produced or cluttered with too many over-dubs and says nothing. Not the case for Tomorrows Harvest! When listening this comes across almost like a soundtrack for a conspiratorial cold war 1970's era documentary.

To this day I don't understand all the hype around this album. It just sounds like generic melancholy music....Stuff you might hear in a commercial or some Hollywood movie or some crappy tv show.
