Troy Dodds

Nombre real:

Troy Brown Raglin

Perfil:

1960s-1970s soul artist from San Francisco, California.

During the late 1950s, Troy Dodds was singing with The Halos (also featuring e.g. Clement Briellard of The Magicians (2)), not to be confused with The Halos.
In 1966, Dodds formed his own company Golden Gate Disk, funded by basketball legend Wilt Chamberlain, then a member of the Golden State Warriors. Dodds' last solo single on El Camino label was released through Golden Gate Disk.

Dodds, whose real name was Troy Brown Raglin (i.e., Troiel B. Raglin), went to Los Angeles in 1973 and restarted his career as a founding member of the soul-rock group - Spaceark. I was his partner from 1973-79 and was the lead guitarist for the group. We terminated our partnership in late 1979, and after a few years, Troy moved to the high desert area of Yermo, CA, where he started an independent label, Fire Mountain Records. It is believed he passed around 2003. For more information on the history of the group SpaceArk, go to the websites below.
