Manrico Montero

Manrico Montero (Mexico, 1973-2018) was a sound artist based in Mexico City. He focused on field recordings, soundscape composition, phonography and 'nature concrete' music. He runs the Mandorla Netlabel between 2006 and 2018. Sound artist, bioacoustics researcher and filmmaker. Towards the end of the 1990s, he studied Modern German Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UNAM. In turn, he developed a special interest in music and the documentation and research of Latin American ecological environments.
