Exceptional label to deal with. I've had many hassle-free orders from SB and have enjoyed many hours listening to their releases. Customer service has also been exceptional with these guys. Improbably, I received TWO mispresses of the same LP and SB was willing to send me a third working copy on an exclusive vinyl variant at their own expense. You can't do better than ordering direct from them.
About Marissa Nadler "the path of the clouds" European pressing : Hello, I would like to tell this : I'am very disappointed with the quality of the European pressing. It is shameful to trash the magnificent work of an artist like Marissa Nadler with such a production. I changed my first record at the store and the second is even worse, last title that cracks with friction several times! Frankly I prefer a good old black record to those disastrous color pressings ! I have wrote to Marissa to tell her about it. Is there a better quality US pressing version than this European pressing? Thank you for your answers
I pre-ordered a CD from them and it came with several cracks on the case, but it wasn't just cosmetic, the spindle that holds the CD was cracked too so it just fell out when I opened the case. I contacted customer service, showed them pictures and they were very nice about sending me a replacement. Little did I know that all I was going to receive was a blank CD case no actual replacement. It wasn't even the same clear CD case the original came with. I was very disappointed.
Does anybody know what pressing plant Sacred Bones is using now that Rainbo is out of business? They used GZ for a few pressings (such as "The Practice of Love" by Jenny Hval) but their 2020-2021 releases seem to be from a different plant. I can't tell from the deadwax. These new pressings have been a bit hit and miss.
