- I have a pressing without correction sticker. The song order is correct on the back side. No Made in Sweden on the back. Boxes around the Propius logo on the labels. Runouts are: Prop 777 8 A GP 1 A, Prop 777 8 B GP 1 3, Prop 777 9 A GP3 4, Prop 777 8 B GP 1 A

Had this pressing on wantlist for years and finally found a NM copy and it was worth the wait as it sounds absolutely phenomenal!- Style: Swing, Contemporary Jazz
Artists: Arne Domnerus, Bengt Hallberg, Egil Johansen, Georg Riedel, Lars Erstrand
Instruments: Alto Saxophone, Bass, Clarinet, Vibraphone, Drums, Piano
Composers: Braham, Dennis, Desmond, Dougherty, Ellington, Gershwin, Hardin-Armstrong, Hawkins, Hodges, Lewis, Lillian, Parker, van Heusen - A really stellar press. Sounds better than my recent reissue! I’d love to know if this is a true original or not. All signs point to a 1977 release.
- This is phenomenal! It can't really get much better than this. The soundstage is just unbelievable. You actually feel you're there. A must-have for every audiophile.
- Editado hace 10 meses6 Stars. This record has been released many, many times on vinyl, CD, SACD, Reel-to-Reel, etc., but according to the liner notes in this release, this is the first time it’s been issued at 45rpm. It includes everything on the master tapes, including takes never before released on vinyl where the tape runs out. Except for maybe the super pricey Reel-to-Reel version from AudioNautes, I doubt this will ever be bested. This is easily one of the greatest vinyl records I’ve ever heard. My vinyl is flat and dead quiet without a single flaw. I don’t know if it’s because of the One Step process or the 45rpm, but this album has never sounded this realistic. You can see every musician in your mind and how they are spread out in front of you. It’s laughable how real it feels. WOW! On top of the sound, the packaging is top notch too. The box is held shut by magnets. Each set comes with a numbered certificate out of 989 total sets. Not only is the box and certificate numbered, but so are the 4 individual discs, each in their own card stock inner sleeve and lined paper sleeve. Great liner notes and photos of the tapes, the machines used, and the musicians. A lot of care went in to this. Highly, highly recommended. Get it before it sells out.
- This is a spectacular release. Everything about this set shows great attention to detail. The pressing (well my copy at least) is faultless, Optimal did a good job here. The sound quality is phenomenal, it is very immediate but very natural, one can really hear the impact of the 1-step process. Pawnshop is considered to be one of the greatest live recordings ever, and this version is cut above all other I know (and I have or heard most bar the recent R2R releases). A treasure to have and hopefully pass on to the next generation. Well done AudioNautes!
- Hahahaha, I got lined sleeves... except for LP 4, which was just a generic paper sleeve. Otherwise amazing set!
- An audiophile must-have classic in the sense of offering a credible authentic listening experience of what has been recorded on those evenings back in 1976 and how it has been recorded. I truly believe that one cannot get any closer to what is on the original tapes.
Many reissue labels have tried to top the original Proprius release with partial success but here is the current ultimate release.
By its nature, vinyl records cannot be perfect but here is a 99.99% one. Fabio Camorani and his process partners have delivered a masterpiece ticking all boxes. This is highly recommended for those who are able to appreciate the outstanding work of everybody involved and Fabio‘s vision, leadership and courage to carry thru such a difficult and costly project. Chapeau, Fabio! This is one of your masterpieces.
