Peter Gabriel – Us

Another great release of a great álbum, like all Peter did. I have the 331/3 RPM. This sounds powerful and huge bass all arround. Great stereo soundstage and the voice allways on front. Record sound very clean and no pop or noice to be advice. I have the original CD and that sounds fine, but this remaster is more Open and less saturated to my ears. Recommended!

Does anyone know why this edition sounds so compressed, distorted, and even worse than the 1992 CD?

It's been several years since I've had this lp, I got it second hand, it has a lot of stains on the surface, however there are no clicks or pops, very low noise due to use and the passage of time, I have compared it to the 33 rpm reissue and the sound is very similar, I like this edition much better, it gives better highs, in terms of bass they are very similar, the treble in the reissue is more discreet. It is a very good edition, although somewhat difficult to obtain in my country

Excellent pressing. Rich and full sound, deep bass, no problems with sibilance on my deck. And of course, a fantastic album.

Very punchy and has a more “complete” sound compared to the original CD press.

This edition has better sound than the PCM layer of the SACD hybrid edition and an early Canadian Cinram CD release.

Dense, thick, and not particularly dynamic recording from PG is a disaster on the PCM layer. It sounds like the appalling Cinram release I purchased when this released. The SACD layer is likely the best this will ever sound.

unfortunately my copy is pressed off center and it affect the reproduction...

I have the original release CD and it sounds very good already, yet this 2016 remaster sounds even better. More open more room filling more weight, and the addictive bass...normally I hate boomy bass but in this album it sounds better if I tune on my sub.

Surprisingly terrible sounding edition, only in Canada you say, pitty.
