I worked very briefly with Pete Henderson, who produced this. Knowing that I am a Tubes fan, he told me that there was at least another double album of material that was recorded in the UK.

By far the greatest live album ever,i kid you not.

The Tubes were best known for their strong parodiserende texts and their large-scale, bizarre live shows that were experienced by many as shocking. Waybill played in those shows, among others, the roles of the "crippled Nazi" Dr. Strangekiss and expired glamrocker Quay Lewd. After they signed to A&M in 1975 released their self-titled debut album. One year later, followed by Young And Rich. The albums, however, could not match the atmosphere of their concerts. However Don't touch me there some notoriety and was only the single White Punks On Dope a modest radio hit. Nina Hagen had more success with the German version of the song, TV-Glotzer, which they released in 1978.

Note that this copy has the brown A&M labels without the individual rights listed for the overture on side 1.

Man, I wish I had seen The Tubes live! I'm surprised no one ever compares them to Zappa? (on a weirdenss scale of 1-10, they rank a Z)
