This record sounds exactly the same as Mauro Picotto’s Iguana? Or am I going mad?

I re-discovered this tune a few weeks ago. Maybe this is one of the trance songs that was ahead of his time. It sounds so fresh in 2021, and it's almost 25 years old!
      Really a masterpiece this one.

It would seem that just when I think I have heard it all, I find yet another track from Vincent de Moor that blows me away! Dark Angel (Original Album Version) was one of the best parts of DJ Ferry Corsten's Artist Profile Series 1: Solar Serenades!

In my opinion, this is the definitive early morning trancer.

I'm not the greastest vdm fan.. but goddam I really love this tune.

Wide in scope, uplifting melody... makes me think of some weird rave out in the Norfolk countryside I spent some strange but happy morning at.

Would have to categorize it as uplifting progressive.. but really I think this is a slowed down NRG track at heart.

Hard to mix into the middle of a set, would probably use it at the end of a long set to bring the crowd back up.

"Darwin's Voyage" is in my opinion de Moor's greatest production under the VDM guise. A trancer on the more progressive side, it's great for building atmosphere at the start of a set. Extremely infectious melody, pure hands-in-the-air-stuff, but none too aggressive in the beats department. Someone should remake a harder remix of this! (You hear me, Lee Haslam?)
