Mostrar las 13 reseñas- Having loved this track forever I have just noticed Torsten Stenzel, one half of Red Light District, is the guy who remixed my own track 30 odd years ago when I was Love Groove and signed to Millennium Records, he remixed my track Dirty Laugh in case you're interested!
- Editado hace un añoI absolutely love vintage '90s melodic trance ... but I've always thought this tune is vastly overrated. Maybe some people are really sweet on it because of the long, drawn-out spiritual sample, which is certainly fine (though I'm a secular guy, and the sound byte seems somewhat ironic anyway, given that he's appealing for money in a rhetorically sanctified cash-grab). Regardless, the melody---sort of like a digital-horn in its stylings, and a little too loud right at the break---is just "okay," or at best, "good." Indeed, to my mind, there are so many more amazing trance tracks from '98 and the late '90s more generally.
To be clear, I have the record and did use it in some sets back in the day, I just don't quite understand the massive reputation given what else was coming out at the same time. So I await the angry trance-villagers with their textual torches and verbal pitchforks, but I can't go any higher than 3/5 for this one, its place in trance history notwithstanding. - 22 years old and STILL gives me goosebumps....the phase II mix is where it`s at.......
God didn`t hear you....he was too busy having a mix!!!!! - Editado hace un añoThe Additive release is the only vinyl edition - The original German release appears to be CD only - which is a little unusual for the times.
- Loved this track for years. To be honest I have often thought while listening to it, that I would love to have this track blasted out of church speakers during my own funeral. Powerful breakdown/speech and then slams back in at full power/volume. amazing track!
- an absolutely messy and strange trancer from taucher thoughtfully provided with very hard to mix in and out of structure...but the big breakdown with the god speech is a must for any late 90s hard trance fans pure quality
- 16 years late. Dunno how this gem of a tune passed me by. Picked up on wax only today. I am embarrassed to be so late!
- Mind-blowing trancer from a couplpa geniuses.... In 5/4 timing too for you saddo musicians out there like me, most unusual but feckin amazin when stompin to it in a major kinda fashoin... Also, samples came from R&S track - House Of God by DHS cat - RS 9115... How's that for mega sad... although I bet someone else will tell us a prior release that those samples came from too! Long live the dedicated music masters that we all proclaim to be...! Hurrah!
- This is a truly amazing track. Yes the lyrics do tend to get into the religous cult weird territory, however if you ignore that, the track itself takes you away from it all into a great place. I must admit this track is one of my all time classics. I give this the "Best in dance tracks ever award". I first found this on a pre recorded mix cd which my mate took on holiday to Ibiza in 1998. I kept having to repeat it as I enjoyed it so much, as did all the other girls on that particular holiday. I tracked down the song again and managed to get it on vinyl and have been very happy ever since. I would definately use this track in any mix I ever did. I cannot get enough of this track. I would like to know if anyone knows anything of the artist Red Light District? As this song is as brilliant as the areas! Right on Red Light District. If you havent heard it and you like progressive trancey house, it is definately a must listen too. My total best wishes Dr Evil C in the House.
