If someone has a copy for sale and is willing to ship to Canada (within reasonable prices) I am desperately looking for a copy!!!!
My favorite musical surprise of 2020... an awesome half hour of serene aquatic ambient to get lost in. The Lostboi tracks are emotionally punchy but simply composed, breathing in and out with generous amounts of reverb. Torus starts with "Enter The Sun", a kind of deconstructed pop tune with vocal wails and metallic squibs ricocheting far away and back again, and only gets better from there. The mood of both sides is drowsy and soft, but not a downer... I'd call it quietly but surely optimistic. Fans of labels like Kompakt, Kranky, Sending Orbs, or Ultimae should absolutely grab this up, as should any tired souls in need of an aural mini-vacation during this claustrophobic year of ours.
This is a stunning LP. Both sides are great, but it's the Lostboi side I keep on coming back to. I hope that this release gets seen by the audience it deserves.
