Various – Stella's Choice

Interesting release this.
First off I can't decide on whether A1 is an actual Yomanda remix of "Que Sera" or just a totally seperate mash-up that heavily samples the Yomanda release "On the level" with the Que Sera vocal stabs over the top. Either way it's definitely got a Yomanda flair and is a bit of a stormer.

A2 is not the general release of “Toca's Miracle” but the original mash-up of Fragma’s “Toca Me” with the vocals from Coco’s “I Need a Miracle” over the top. After the success of this mash-up it was re-done more professionally and released as Toca’s Miracle. This version is a bit rough round the edges in terms of the sound quality of the vocal over the top of “Toca Me” but as the inspiration for the mega-hit when it was released officially it’s well worth owning.

AA1 – quite simply the Claxxix remix of Lizard. No mash-up here which is disappointing considering the other releases on this vinyl. Great track though and always worth owning!

AA2 is the infamous mash-up of Paul Van Dyk’s “For An Angel” with Rachel McFarlane’s “Lover” vocal over the top. Again this is a bit rough round the edges and I never thought it was that great, that was til I heard it out and it works perfectly in the right situation. A classic mash-up that all trance-heads should own!

This release is so rough and ready that the first beat of percussion from AA1 appears briefly at the end of A2 but for all the little errors with this release it’s definitely a must have just for the content.
