Tiesto is a favourite amongst past generations of trance DJs with the likes of Paul Oakenfold - who has predicted Tiesto's unique technical abilities in trance productions will propel him to a cult status in time to come. "Just Be" is solid evidence what Tiesto can conjure in the studio, and he is well-known for his marathon DJ sets spanning more than 10 hours - so it is no-surprise the same mindset is applied to his trance tracks.

Trance music, by Tiesto is a magikal journey with multiplex of layers upon layers - with a symphonic entré, matched by progressive rising BPM basslines, rising to a wishy-washy plateau of climatic resonance. The opening track on Just Be with "Forever Today" is an example of how Tiesto makes his distinctive entrance to the world of Trance listeners. All great Trance DJ sets begin with a mind-blowing, emotion-heartfelt opener - comparable to the lengthy opening track on his In My Memory album with "Magik Journey".

Every track on "Just Be" deserves to be re-released as individual singles, from Tiesto collaboration with BT on "Love Comes Again" experimenting with male vocals as opposed to the typical female-vocal dominated trance scene. "Traffic" breathes fresh air to the typical Tiesto sound prior 2004, with sudden cut-offs on various treble-mid-bass-frequencies + isolation techniques + strings-focusing, a signature move which Tiesto enjoys on his mixer whilst playing to tens of thousands of worldwide trance clubbers (from late 1990s thu' 2004).

"Nyana" was first introduced in his double-mixed compilation entitled Tiesto - Nyana as the 8th track on the 1st CD back in 2003. An outstanding track which I consider to more of a tech-trance composition with progressive euphoric feel, and definitely one of my favourites in this album.

"Adagio For Strings" is a remake of William Orbit's (1995) remake of William Barber's original arrangement (1936). Possibly one of the most emotional-rich and driving remix by Tiesto of a classical composition, and Tijs have crossed genres into classical remixes in the late 90s. A brilliant masterpiece.

All in all, if one is starting to explore trance music - do yourself a favour and immerse in these Tiesto productions. His techniques employed are one of a kind, and will be considered as one of the musical greats of our Millennium times.

interesting that nobody mentioned tear in the open. I think it is a very beautiful track. A sorts of ballad. It takes hold of me and never lets me go until the end. I was introduced to this album by my friend. This album together with Ferry Corsten Live at FortDance 2004 introduced me to trance. My friend since moved on to house and progressive, I never looked back. Trance is what I am.

Definitely the best Album by Tiesto, very emotional, romantic, and beautiful as the summer, with songs that will remain in your mind for countless hours, each track has a fine selection of sounds with well worked melodies. My favorite tracks are : "Sweet misery", "UR", "Walking on clouds" and "just be"...the only track wich feels misplaced is "Adagio for strings", this one feels like a plagiarism, i don´t see any originality in this track, instead i see a classic music used to a style that doesn´t match, its a well known theme and it was unnecessary to ear it in a trance version. Despite some of the plagiarism i find this Album to be one of the best Trance releases, very beautiful, touching and perfect to dream and dance. Highly recommended .

Highly recommend this album. It's so different from today's trance music, and it has much more emotional vocals as "Sweet Misery", "Walking On Clouds" and "Just be". There is also good trance melodies as "Traffic" and "Nyana". Just listen and love it.

Legendary album !
Forever Today is the best track that Tiesto made... like I cried 2 times when listenning at it (but you need to listen many times to get catch on it).
Nyana is the second best track album.
