Notas
Tracks 1-1 to 2-23 previously unreleased
Tracks 1-1 to 1-13 recorded at the Los Angeles Forum, Inglewood, California, Saturday, June 20, 1970
Track 1-14 recorded at the Market Square Arena, Indianapolis, IN, Sunday, May 29, 1971
Tracks 2-1 to 2-23 recorded at the Los Angeles Forum, Inglewood, California, Saturday, August 26, 1972, except track 17, recorded the next night, at the International Sports Center (now Sports Arena), San Diego, CA
Track 2-24 recorded at [venue missing] Chicago, IL, Saturday, September 30, 1972
Introduction by Don Cornelius
Originally issued on Save The Children original motion picture soundtrack, Motown M-800R2, April 1974
Further Notes:
- The last track on this compilation, "I Wanna Be Where You Are," was the final of two songs—following a medley of "I Want You Back" and "ABC"—, performed at the Black Expo, at the International Amphitheatre, Chicago, Illinois. It was later released on the Save the Children documentary soundtrack.
- Save the Children (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) was actually released in 1973.
- In 1972, the San Diego International Sports Center was already called San Diego Sports Arena (now Valley View Casino Center).
- I wonder how "Mama's Pearl" was recorded at the Market Square Arena in 1971 when the venue didn't even exist before 1974!
