What a great mix cd . Start out with an excellent Dub techno then house . Versatile music selection and mixing by François. Recommended .

for me this is a really great mix cd and has influenced me to look for tracks and link tracks others normally wouldnt , with basic channel , kraftwerk , tribe called quest and even ray keith it stands up both as a time capsule and a standard to look to

Francois' take on the past twenty-five years of dance music in NYC is a broad reaching studio mix. The track selection is as disparate as James Brown and Basic Channel; Jazz, Funk, Afro-Latin, Disco, Hip-Hop, House, Techno and Drum n' Bass all get nearly equal parts. Some of the mixing transitions are a bit forced, but overall there are some truly great song sequences that make this eclectic yet excellent mix worth coming back to. Worth a five.
