I had quite a few Sasha 12"s back in the day but for some reason never bought this. I did see it quite a few times in record shops (either new or 2nd hand) but wasn't really that interested. 23 years later and I really want this record!

Rabbitweed ... PERFECTION .. timeless piece don’t think it will ever date

A repress is coming from "Music On Vinyl" label, let's hope it'll sound good...

Just wondering if anyone else finds these tracks and other supposedly euphoric proggy trance actually deperessing ? They actually effect my mood state to the point where I can't even listen to it. It's so saccharin, bland, empty.

Just a ridiculously good track that defines a genre and moment in time perfectly. Timeless.

I've worked out location of 2/3 of the photos on the sleeves:
Main sleeve: Looking south-east from an area around the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art (SE from around 520 S Olive St).
Xpander/Belfunk sleeve: Intersection of Santa Monica Fwy and Harbor Fwy near LA Convention Center.
              Rabbitweed/Baja sleeve: Unknown.

I remember going to the Homelands music festival (Winchester, UK) in the earlier 2000s and hearing Sander Kleinenberg finish his set with Xpander, before handing over the headphones to Sasha himself.

Xpander sets the bar. Period. documented tune. List it as THE transcendental track of our decade.

This is just a hunch but I think the intro beats, listen to the crispy snare on https://www.discogs.com/Paperclip-People-4-My-Peepz/master/4511 were sampled for Xpander. If not then certainly influenced by and I read in an interview that Sasha is a big Carl Craig fan and this track predates Xpander by a year. As soon as I heard 4 my Peepz I thought those beats are killer and the track wasn't fast enough to be a huge track. Hats off to Sasha to getting there before I did haha.

The track I’ve played/ mixed the most is Baja at the wrong speed. Love it 😊
