Oliver Huntemann – Play! 01 [E.P.] Sao Paulo

I always wonder about the infamous one-sided record. Even more so when it is just one singular track. This is how Huntemann released this very pretty picture disc. I was fortunate to find a brand new copy of it for $3.99 in California and that being said, worth every penny. But being that a distributor would sell this to the stores for around $10, you would be far better off buying the actual live cd which this one track was pulled from, rather the a one sided disc. Huntemann is not new to the scene, he is known to be one of Bodzin's sidekicks, if not legitimate partner. On his own, Huntemann delivers a live set from South America. A flawless mix with two very critical errors. One? Xenia. Tell that b*tch to not sing or talk on records. Hellraiser ruined Rother's mix and it ain't sitting too well on this disc either. Otherwise the tracklisting is as close to perfect IMO as one could get. The live crowd overdubs also annoy the hell out of me. Oliver, respect due, you rocked the party, we don't need to be reminded of that every five minutes with retarded crowd cheers. I may sound cold here, but I enjoyed this mix so much that I need to point these things out. That is what I do. I still would give this an 8.5 out of 10.
