    or also this MR: http://www.discogs.com/Captain-Hollywood-Project-More-And-More/master/15684
this release http://www.discogs.com/Captain-Hollywood-Project-More-And-More-The-Remixes/release/895932 under MR doesn't contain any track from MR!!!

    it's totally chaotic!
can anyone correct it automaticly?, sorry I've been blocked to contribute:)

Single including Maxi Single - all versions should be bundled in the Master Release, including Maxi and Remix versions. For example, Madonna's "Deeper And Deeper" Master Release includes all versions, including the double 12" remix promo version.

this release http://www.discogs.com/Captain...mixes/release/895932 under MR doesn't contain any track from MR!!!

Emmm, Captain Hollywood Project - More And More contains
    More And More
    More And More (Trance Mix)
    More And More (Single Version)

Captain Hollywood Project - More And More (The Remixes) contains
More And More (Original Club Version) (6:20)
More And More (Karizma Remix) (6:59)
More And More (Hollywood Remix) (6:11)

of course Captain Hollywood Project - More And More (The Remixes) contains just remixes of More And More, but these should be included in the same Master Release as all other versions.

OK, I hadn't fully understood MR guidelines (mainly funny 3.) but the current definition of MR makes no sense to me, because it doesn't give any advantage and only shorts the list of release on artist page and leads collectors to click several times to find the information what they're looking for..
(grouping the releases with the same tracklisting (some tracks - different order) could be more convenient function on this thing:-)

Also grouping versions of song across artist or database welcomed..
because CD-Single MR often doesn't contain releases with all versions of song
no way to find all versions of song without going throught all releases of the artist or search song by song for results..
it is very time wasting if you have to look through hundreds of artists to find newly submitted releases or every day look into watchlist..no no..

I'm pretty sure nik has posted somewhere around here that remix editions should be in the same Master Release as others, even when there are minor variations in main titles (like appending a year to the name of the song). But the organization of MRs for Rhythim Is Rhythim is currently running contrary to this inclusive philosophy. Here's the situation:

Nude Photo '88 = remix edition. The different cover art and appending '88 to the title doesn't make it unique enough to be separate, IMHO. It seemed untidy when I was looking at artist page for Thomas Barnett, who co-wrote "Nude Photo", and saw the '88 mixes separate. So today I added it into the Rythim Is Rythim* - Nude Photo Master Release, but I have a feeling it's going to ruffle the feathers of the people who want it separate (e.g., SeRKeT & moodytrax).

I feel the same about Various - Fantazia: Aural Pleasure. It looks like this MR was originally created as Rhythim Is Rhythim - Strings Of Life '89 (nonexistent now), and was recently re-created.

These remix editions aren't special, in my opinion. Why should they be separate?

Ultimately, it has to make sense to us. There is no point following pure rules if the outcome is nonsensical.

In any case, I agree with you regarding Nude Photo '88 and Strings Of Life, neither release is different enough to be in it's own MR.

LOL, i never made it part of the MR simply because i must have forgot (i do remember doing most of the Transmat page though) so.. i am in agreement to put it in with the other versions ok :)
edit: it was here i added the remixes
    http://www.discogs.com/history?release=33543#latest
then i think moodytrax separated them :)

Sure, you're just denying everything now :P haha

But yeah that was actually the release history that made me think you put the Strings remixes in their own MR (since the MR was called "Strings Of Life '89") ... But now I see the history is deceptive. This release must've been the key release at first, and you probably changed it later. Interesting quirk of the system if that's the case.

Anyway, I'm thinking if we combine them again, and add some notes to the MRs to explain the title changes, it'll be fine.

Also thanks nik for reiterating your position. That reminds me, I think I've still got to re-do West End Girls.
